warren-g - i need to set the linkage up propperly as the gear stick is further forward than it should be yet it still hits my seats

check the area on the face of the block at the bottom right hand corner.theres only two water jackets it could be coming from but i would guess its the one right at the end of the block in this pic

i'll get some pics tomorrow but the coolant looks to be coming from the one next to the locating dowl at the front. i'll get it stripped again and have a closer look at it. im hoping this will be the problem with the missfire aswell

yeh could be mate.if the block isnt quite flat then that will make it blow.have you done a compression test?

yeh i bet number 4 is down quite a bit.that will probably be whats causingyourproblems.did the people who had it just say anything about it ?

i hope that is the reason its running shit. they didnt say anythin about the missfire. they couldnt of not noticed it tho as the engine really does shake.

ok no probs mate.just dont see how they can set can engine up with a bad missfire.

im starting to wonder if they did anything tbh. i'll get it running and save up some cash and get it over to broster and jamsport. really cant wait to get it back on the road!

compression test results

cylinder 1 - 150psi
cylinder 2 - 150psi
cylinder 3 - 180psi
cylinder 4 - 180psi

all four cylinders have a spark, and you can watch coolant drip from the headgasket, so headgasket is defo gona be changed
