He was sitting at the top of the hill with his full beam on, hazards on, front lights flashing and his blue lights flashing, i couldn't see fuck all so i turned on my full beam to see as soon as i got withing 10 metres he jumps out giving it large saying i was blinding him with my fogs, 30 minutes later i drove away with a smug grin!

PAS and driver airbag were optional extras. My S2 had the bare minimum. The weight difference and sense of feeling I guess driving the rarer Rallye adds to the fun. They made 16v Rallyes as standard in Europe. God knows why only the 8vs were imported.

Yes. Im not too sure to be honest, I think its in the head.
less restrictive alloy inlet, different cams, less restrictive exhaust. isnt the power difference closer to 10bhp? i know torque difference is significant and power peaks about 700-900rpm higher

I am not sure to be honest. Yeah the alloy inlet was only standard on the S1s, its a common modifications on the S2s.

The Rallye is fitted with a high performance TU5J2 1587cc 8v engine that is a slightly more tuned version of the earlier 106 1.6 XSi engine also fitted to some Peugeot 306 models. This engine is unique to the Rallye and is not fitted to any other Peugeot model. It produces 103bhp at 6200rpm and gives 97lbs/ft of torque at 3500rpm.
