lol it wont fall off as it will be held inplace by clamps to the centre pipe.

Why not just get it done proper in the first place so it will save you paying for cable ties

Aluminium has a melting point of 660 degrees. Your exhast won't melt it. I would also be supprised if a back box got hot enough to melt some cable ties. Mine was held on for a few days with one on one hanger and a rubber on the other before I had a chance to get some proper ones to fit it with.
