OJC wants to know hes in a shop and they reckon it wont work through aol? sounds a bit wrong imo

AOL works with live except the AOL routers are shit. he will need a netgear or similar.
It does work with AOL though, my mate had it. The AOL router was the problem.

You may be able to connect to Xbox Live using AOL High-Speed Broadband DSL service. For more information, see the AOL DSL Network Settings FAQ. However, it is currently not possible to connect to Xbox Live using AOL High-Speed Broadband cable service
You may be able to connect to Xbox Live using AOL High-Speed Broadband DSL service. To do so, follow the guidelines below.
From the Xbox Dashboard, select Settings, and then select Network Settings.
From the Network Settings screen, select PPPoE Settings.
For username, type your AOL screen name in the format "screenname@aol.com" and then your password (all lowercase and with any spaces or special characters removed).
To connect to Xbox Live using the new settings, return (BACK) to the Network Settings screen, and then select Connect.
If you cannot connect, contact AOL High-Speed Broadband for more information and updates about this issue.

It definatly works fine through AOL Silver and above..... I've set it up for quite a few people now.
