I do actaully believe you mate! I know people think ' look at that chav saying he can have more powerfull cars than his' etc but after my experiences with a VTR i can understand!

Ive never actually raced side by side with a vtr but ive followed one and didnt have any problems, was pretty even TBH. Tried following a vts and got destroyed though

i cant understand it myself u sure its not a different engine or has it been chipped or cammed or is the vtr fucked? surely both will kill a 1.4 sport on the straight fairplay tho 4 beatin him.

well ive just had a rebuilt engine put in
its completely standard 1.4

vtr's are not all that quick though. The 1.4 16v sport is a pretty quick engine I think.
Look at the polo's for example, they do a 1.6 8v and a 1.4 16v - The 1.4 is quicker.

whichever car won, one thing i know for sure is, a 1.4 16v corsa engine is not a pretty quick engine.
a vts i wouldnt even class as pretty quick

i can believe it, i had n reg sri before the gsi, it had done 109000 miles an it was quick used to wipe floors with vtrs an would kill my mate 1.6 fiesta si an 1.6 punto sport was not far off my other mates corsa c 1.8 sri, head went so put w reg sport engine in no were near as quick think its something to do with the early engines

$3000 would make it pretty quick and itd kill your cupra in standard spec.
