Obviously there is rent and probably ground rent for the flat itself, but anyone know roughly how much council tax/electricity/gas/water is per month on a 1 bed flat with 2 occupants?

I would budget 50 leccy, 50 gas and 50 water into a joint account so you always have money rolling over

In the winter your gas could double. The 25 is my average (5 a month in summer, 40 a month in winter we go through) but i am on a meter so its easier for me as i dont have an averaged amount i pay every month

Dont forget to give your meter readings the day u move in

But would prices for gas and electric be cheaper than what you pay, as you live in a house IIRC?

Yeah it would be Sammy, but i live in Wales so Berkshire may be the same price im not sure.

Prices for a 1 bed flat wont be high, but just over budget the first few months in case you have any surprises

I'd be renting in the West Midlands area TBH.
