Am i right in thinking that if i signed up to google adwords, my adverts will be dished up on relevant websites as well as in the blue areas of the google search engine?

i.e if i was selling toothpaste and entered the correct words, if a dentist was running adsence my toothpaste adverts would be served up on his site?
