just to put insurance into perspective. my cousin drive's a 2.0 audi a3 (197bhp i believe), he's 18 with 1 years no claims and it's insured for £2600..

i'm guessing at 17 with 0 years no claims you'll either be uninsurable or it will be at least £3500 depending on the market value of the car.
