Hi, I got my car serviced and MOT'd at vauxhall on monday and needed news pads all round. However since the new pads have been fitted they've been really squeeky! Anyone know why this may be and what I can do to stop the squeeking?
Cheers!

Really? How much? Where do I put it exactly? Sorry to sound a bit dense, had a long day.... Will this affect the braking?! Sounds a bit putting grease on the back of the pads?!

You don't need a lot. Just a thin coating on the back of the pads. The back of the pads don't touch the disc, so it doesn't affect braking.

The back of the pads don't come into contact with the disc so don't worry. What you want to do is take the pads out do the edges of the metal part and replace then do the backs so as the pad travels along the pad carrier it won't be squeaking anymore.
