It'll lower the tempreture in the engine bay. So if you have an induction kit it'll be working better coz it'll be taking in cooler air.

heatwrapping has 2 benefits
1. it keeps the heat in the exhaust so gas speed stays high and exits the exhaust faster and with less restriction
2. keeps underbonnet temps down
its unlikely to cause the manifold to crack, thats a bit of a myth. I prefer ceramic coating, does everything that heatwrap does but better and isnt that expensive. (£150ish for a manfold inside and out)
avoid cheap heatwrap, get the proper stuff, think its from a company called Agrimach or something like that, ill check.

Sounds good.
Now... its a pain in the arse for me to get this manifold off the car as its tight gap as i have to take it down! And it knockes every time on the Air Con, and Catridge for oil filter.... I dont want to waste my time.
Any idea how much the good stuff is Dave A? Also il need them metal tye wraps
Cheers

Its usually just mild steel manifolds that crack when wrapped anyway.
