Noticed a crack on the wind screen today (well Shaun did) its about 7" in length. Right in the center of the screen going up about 2" and then accross to the left a further 5" +

I dont know what has caused this but i jave just phoned 2 places for a quote. even before giving me a quote he was asking how i want to pay .. so i said no i need a price first, £350.. I actualy huffed when he told me, i said NO CHANCE mate cant you go a bit cheaper so he offered 20% discount if i have the work done tonight so i refused and said nope go lower and we'll talk! got him down to £250 (i said well i can get a screen for £50 my self so can you fit it and he said yeh and said that would cost £90)

I just said i would ring back, phoned another place and got a quote straight away and with the tinted sun screen bit. £98 supply and fit

Im still angry at the fact i have to spend this money that i dont have just yet but my MOT is due in October and i know it would fail, possibly even go worse and smash before then.

Aren't you covered by insurance on it? It wont effect your NCB if you claim for a window screen

If you get a chip in you windscreen, call autoglass and weel repair it for free, other wise it will turn into a crack and thats going to cost you your excess

Thats what that brummie off the radio keeps telling me

Mines getting done tomorrow and MOT on Thur, hopefully get the choice of a tinted top when I arrive as they haven't yet asked me whats fitted.

I'm paying £70 through my insurance as I got quoted silly prices also without going through insurance.
