right see if ya convert a 1.2 16v sxi to a 1.6 16v do you have to insure it as a engine conversion or just say it was a 1.6 16v to start with? because both cars look the same/ have same interior!!!

u actually thought u can change the engines in a car and keep it insured as a 1.2 because u kept the same interior as a 1.2?

no thats not what i said, i said insure it as a 1.6 16v or a conversion to a 1.6 16v either way it would be a 1.6 16v.

it wuld, but for legallitys you have to declare it as a conversion.

The engine was not put in there by the manufacturs. it was registered as a 1.2, so on the insurance systems it wil come up as a 1.2

i can isure a 1.6 sport for £750 fully comp hic quoted me for a conversion £1800 fully comp STUFF THAT

i would just like to say no i'am not related to eel and that dong up there theham85 is my brother thats why he's saying that, yes logic would say get a 1.6 sport. and for the last time i would not be insuring it as a 1.2 it would be a 1.6 on the log book!!!!
I hope this thread will not make me out to seem stupid in the future
