Just a quick post for a huge meet that will be happening.

There is a bar in Nottingham called MFN (Miles From Nowhere). They have supported the cruise scene around Nottingham like something not right in Nottingham. They hold a "Sunday Cruising" event every sunday evening.

Recently, MFN has been in court due to the amount of noise being generated at the entrance of the club and were unfortunatly charged over £7,000 for it.

I propose a huge meet at MFN on the 30th September to try and get some money back for the owner. On a good night, there is over 500 cars from Novas & Corsa's to Lambo's, Ferrari's and cars pushing 600bhp or more!

So who is up for it? MFN is 5 minutes away from Junction 26 of the M1 and is signposted from there!

Its £1 per person and runs from 7pm until 11pm. Theres always a good "after party" convoy heading from MFN when it closes.

Let me know guys!

Cheers!

Edit

There MAY be magazine coverage!

im sorry but you want to have another meet to raise money which he will probably have to use to pay out after this meet because of the noise again

sounds a good idea to get money etc but kinda defeating the point if you ask me

He charges to get in anyway, so why moan when fined!

Not like he's let us on for nothing and sorted a blinding favour.

Not forgetting the fact that iirc cruises have been made illegal in Notts and can incur a fine. So if the police have already had complaints about MFN, then odds are they'll be keeping an eye out any ways. So it seams to be asking for trouble.

the problem is that he has been fined for allowing noisy cruises and they want to have a noisy cruise to raise money back?

i agree with matt, having a "huge" meet is just going to cause more noise and more problems for the owner in the long run

One or two members including myself go every weekend.

Yes he's lost £7,000 due to noise but if people are respectful and responsible (Not revving the engines like mad) then there is no problem.

The owner may charge people to get in but her also has to pay for security, staff etc... he makes very little.

I often convoy with CruiseNotts and we've never had any problems with police for convoying. Racing, yes, driving to location no.

Typical sunday night at MFN ^^^

theres a thing in nottingham, that tehre should be no more than 5 cars in convoy or even parked up together else the police will get involved!! was on the news a wile ago, basically saying all cruisers are out to cause trouble when theyre not, in my town sleaford we hold legal crusies, our first one had 100 cars turn up, n it wos a great nite, good atmosphere

I'll clear a few things up.

The injunction is that police will get involved if the convoy is driving dangerously, racing or creating excess noise. NOT for driving in convoy to a location.

As for the post asking about racing. There is a VERY good "after party" for people that want a "play" before heading home

They stopped 'RACING' ages ago....all that happen was people just use to go up and sit there lookin at other cars driving past - no room for racing - there hasnt been for years!

Pretty much yeah, the centre is mainly one way & dual carrigeways, so there's a fair bit of "spirited driving" going on
