Has anyone got pictures of front and rear coilovers fitted without the wheels on so i can see where the disc sit for winding up and down, looking more for pitures of adjustable rears really

depend of the coilover..

some have fixed shocks and springs like the spax

some have fixed shocks and low spring's with an adjuster..

other have proper coilover unit's like avo's & some gaz kits whihc adjust like the one in the pic's on the struts

is that where theres like a metal disc under the spring like in this pic

it doesn't..

it has say 90mm's rear's, and it lifts the spring up to raise the car

just mesure with a tape messure like you would on the front i guess

no its bollocks. i took the blue adjuster thingy out of mine so i could get it even lower but thats as low as they would go.

you can never say 100% how much a spring will lower the car - less weight in car = car sits higher

no what i mean is im lookin at coilovers and there the ones in that pic further up and the seller has said they are 20-120mm adjustable front and back but i fail to see how the back can be adjusted goin from that pic

mines on gaz fully adjustable front and the rear has fixed spring with adjustable shoxk!
people always ask me how much its lowered

mine had full interior and 2 12 inch subs in the boot. it used to rub quite a bit

i have the same ones as in the pic and thats as low as they will go if you have nothing in the boot then it will be higher

the blue adjuster is in 2 parts one screws over the over one side sits on the original lug for the standard spring the over side goes in the spring. by screwing in or screwing out the blue part you can change the pressure on the spring = higher or lower

where did you get your coilovers from?? as mine are coming from germany?

because the spring sits on the bit that screws out so if you screw it out it makes it longer. when you wind it in it makes it shorter. how is that hard to understand

yea but it depends on the total distance between the top (original) seat and the bottom(original) seat, not the bottom original and the adjuster as what is the part above the bottom adjuster ring? it doesnt just disappear. if you take the adjuster out, thats as low as they will go
