I need to replace gasket and i have been looking through my haynes manual and i am unsure if i need to remove the timming belt? it looks like i do looking at my car and the diagram but the writing doesnt say so and as you will know haynes usual state other steps like this.
so back to the point do you need to remove timming belt to remove oil pump?
corsa b 1.6 16v
Thanks

yes, needs the timing belt and rear belt covers removed. also replace the crank oil seal and oil pump when you do the gasket for the oil pump. may as well fit an new belt and bearings while its all off.

Yes timing belt.
And the bearing rollers that the belt run on.
Pretty sure sump needs come off too to remove the pump, because of the pickup pipe.

yeah it does - it mentions that in the haynes but not the timming belt! i was sure you had to and know i know i have to! wish i didnt!
How much are the bearing rollers?
when you remove the timming belt do you have to set the timming up alloverr again when refitting? this is the part im not sure about!
