Attempted wiring up my amp today but i had a few problems:
- There is no blue/white wire on my head unit loom so where do I wire the remote cable?
- Best place for the earth wire? And does it have to be properly bolted in as I havent got any bolts or anything just the bare wire
Also my head unit keeps loosing its memory, which wires do I swap around? (If its red, I have two red wires in my loom :boggle

The red and the yellow wire on the plug with less wires. If not, its the two red wires you need to swap.
Remote wire - either an ignition live ORR a blue wire on the plug with less wires
Earth wire, any bare screw or bolt that bolts to the car body work.
What car have you got?

Yes the earth does have to be properly attached. The black wire going to the ciggy lighter is an ignition live, I've used it before for a mates Corsa.

Ok.....
Looking at the loom straight on I have...
-----------------
/
-----------------
Blue and a yellow wire
-----------------
2 reds (Not next to each other)
(And loads of others)
I guess Im wiring the remote cable to the blue one, but do I wire it to the loom where the wire was or the wire itself?
As for the memory loss, which wires shall I swap?
Nice one, thanks
