Picked up an utter bargain today, GSI steering wheel, mint, £5



My crossmember also arrived today, to place the "slightly" rusty old one



GSI spoiler should hopefully be here tomorrow too

Yup, cant wait to get the crossmember done, havent moved the car in months for the fear of bending anything, since the old crossmember is hanging there.

Yup, cant wait myself mate, Really want it driveable so I can clay it at the house, it hasnt had a good clean in years (literary).

Need to get it all undersealed too.

is the gsi steering wheels smaller than standard 2 spoke ones

Yeah, its a bit bigger than an SXI wheel, way smaller than the 2 spoke wheel, and looks way, way better.

my gsi steering wheel had an air bag, that steering wheel looks more like the one in my 1.2 merit.

Aye, your wheel would of been in the late GSI's and Sports.

Doubt you had a 3 spoke wheel in a merit, not standard anyway. Three spokes came on sri's and early gsi's iirc.

The 98 onwards sport model steering wheel is the best IMO
