I really need this clearing up now
Do these run at a lower temeperature that normall halogen bulbs?
I have fitted my projectors but really miss my HIDs
Almost everyone on Sax-p.com have said they will melt the lenses as they are plastic yet a few (reputable) people off here rekon they will be fine

If it makes a difference, My mate runs an aftermarket HID set on his aftermarket projector headlights on his polo.

Their vauxhall projectors aint they
I think the worry is they are ebay specials
When I had the HIDs the glass never got warm on my old lights like they did with halogens
im after 8000k again but if 10000 is cooler il go for them

all new headlights are plastic?? and lots are fitted with HID's giving me the impression that they wouldn't melt.
tbh i'd take the opinion of many large and reputable motor companies over some saxo driving pansies.
