Hi,

I live on a farm and since we moved here 15 years ago we have always had a coal powered aga, this meant we had to keep it filled with coal every day, stoke it twice a day and generally feel like we are in the flintstones. As you can imagine remembering to order coal every month isnt very easy, but at least it keeps the northerners in business.

So we decided it was time we treated ourselfs and remove the age old aga with a second hand one off ebay but this time powered by gas. Our first mission is to remove the aga which has been done, we then laid a solid base. Our final step is to pick up the second hand gas one and install it, cant wait.

For those who dont know, you typicall have two or more hobs on a aga, the left one is the high heat and the right one is the high heat. We have a high heat oven on the top right and the low heat on the bottom right. The door on the bottom left is to scrape out ashes (which is done every day)

Hamsters paradise.

Aga in bits all over the porch/one of the gardens, looks like a headache.

Getting the army in to lay your base is a bit overkill TBH.

I'm not aware of the aga's fate yet, but yes the new ones are around the 10g mark or something stupid.
