Had an anonymous letter through my door today complaining that my drive is causing excess water on the pavement and road.

I should put drainage in or they'll contact the council

Building regs state its not needed

Tbh most of the time you do need drainage for this reason. I know someone who had to tear a new drive up due to this as he hadn't checked.

According to building regs drainage isn't required on block paving

Definitely not required as I checked when I had mine done. The whole point in block paving is that the gaps between the blocks allow water to drain.

Concrete imprinting is when drainage is needed.

So been having problems with leaks on my shower enclosure for years now. no matter how much sealant goes on it still leaks. It will be fine for months then leak again. then one of the roller wheels on the door broke so decided to rip the whole thing out and fit a brand new unit. did have a 900x900 quadrant but gone for 1000x900 rectangular sliding door. Looks more modern i think but it seems huge in my bathroom! Pics to follow
