People buy gsi sideskirts and bumper copys and lexmaul copys.

Dont see the diffrence in buying an airdam copy?

whats the harm??

If i was going down the "irmscher" route id buy one no problem.

and as for people saying you need to spray it and cracks etc.

My dietrich front bumper is fibreglass and its never cracked or needed painting except for stone chips.so its not much of an exscuse

He try's helping people out and gets all this shit for his thanks.

Look they are upsides and downsides. The kid is doing certain people favours, and if your going to moan why bother. You aint going to stop this from happeneing. Also just think if these bumpers sell like mad, youll be getting ya real plastic ones for cheaper......as theyll have to compete with the f/glass ones....win win situation

keep them rare?, its a bumper for a vauxhall corsa shopping trolley, if it was something with a sporting pedigree and a rare model you could understand, Cant believe how people are reacting to someone helping members of the community as they are worried someone else might have their "rare" bumper

and who the fuck are you to make this decision ?

irmscher aint ripspeed ffs, the quility of the product reflects its original price. for the true enthusiast SP they are a proper addition to the corsa B and have become a rare item over the last few years.

im not going to comment on these copies, but posts like yours are very selfish for the people who collect these rare item, inc myself !

if you think corsa's are shopping trollies why are you on here ? i think corsa's are great little cars and so do most the people on here, so dont come on here taking the piss please...

there is a furom for taking the piss called barryboys...

stavs

have 1 of these "rare" bumpers on your car by chance?, calling it a shopping trolley was to highlight my point, its a bumper on a corsa, this guy has gone out of his way to help people who might not be able to afford the real deal or cant get hold of one, what is the problem? just seems a bit snobbish if you ask me, is it hurting you in anyway him making this bumper and selling it?

They're not that rare anyway TBH, rare, to me is something that there were 20 or 30 of EVER at the most, like the twin round Irmscher exhaust for the B, or stuff that you can't get hold of without spending 4 years searching, like Zender stuff for the Nova.

I reckon I could find an airdam for sale in about 2 hours, that's not a rare part IMO.

ive been caught at a bad time for fibreglass bumpers, spent ten hours last week fixing a completely fucked fibreglass supra bumper (which i also fixed last year for the same fella) combination of huge bumper very low coupe.

bumpers in f/glass are ok until a stone cracks them etc or u hit a kerb or something. its ok but nothin compared to a plastic bumper.

my point is just to have a f/glass copy would need to be very cheap imo

My fibreglass splitter is bad enough, I know its stupidly low but the slightest knock and it gets hairline cracks, needing repaired, painted costing numerous pounds each time.

If the splitter was made from plastic, it would take more impact. Being the same with an airdam, which also appears to be a fairly low bumper.

You won't find one for £150, that's the point. I feel sorry for the bloke trying to do folk a favour. An Escort RS1700t is rare, an Airdam isn't. Get a grip folks.

I'm not really losing any sleep over the definition of the word rare.

For me, its a problem if fiberglass copies are poor quality, fitted badly, painted badly or fitted alongside other mods which come together in a distasteful or badly produced car.

My association with airdams on Corsas is about nice looking, well turned out cars. And I do have reservations about them being copied as this generally means they're cheaper, done on the cheap and there are more of them out there.

I don't think it's the end of the world but I can also see where the issues are. Ultimately it's potentially a cheaper way of obtaining a similar look. Just don't botch the rest of the job.

Can I also ask that those people who are better than us Corsa owners don't go too far with the shopping trolley compliments. If you can't say anything nice and all that.

tbh the people can complain all they want, they have been made i think already! its not even me whos making any money really or making them, yes i may get a small cut, but the reason i posted it up here is because they will sell them anyway and i thought id let people on here know! some people might like one seeing as there hard to come by, if you dont want one - stop using this thread! i dont care if you dont like it, deal with it!!!

anyone intrested can u2u me but im not totally sure on the situation as of yet!!

also i will get a copy fitted to my corsa first, if they have made them and they dont fit well i will not recommend people on here to buy them!! im not a cowboy and neither is the people making them! just thought some people would like one! your all happy to say it shouldnt be copied, but how many of you have a copy of someones cd in there car? ive got a real irmy airdam getting sprayed up at the moment, and i dont care if theres more people out there with one, why not make some other corsa's look smart?? i thought corsasport was a community?? im only trying to help other cs people out!! i dont reli give a shit if they sell or not, its not my money or time going into making them!!!

im really looking forward to seeing some pictures of these. how long do you think it will be before you get any?

btw i think £150 is a fair price but not any higher than that.after recently fitting a rieger style fibre glass bumper to my car i can see why people think they are alot of hassle.but now its on i think it looks fine so ive got some confidence in these irmsher copies if they are done well enough. also will you be able to get the full kit?
