I drive a 1.2 16v Corsa B Envoy to work and back everyday and its quite nippy
I drive my girlfriends 1.0 12v B sxi and it feels a lot quicker to 40 and then lacks power
I also have a 1.0 12v corsa C (basic model) and this is by far quicker then both
Drove a 1.2 16v Corsa C sxi today and it was the most sluggish out of them all, it did have air con and was top spec, but the engine just did not feel right
Anyone else have experience of it? Might have just been me, but I thought the 1.2 C should be quicker although heavier
I know I am nit picking but I don't want to buy it if they are all that slow as this is the first 1.2 16v C I have drove
Thanks

Exactly what I was thinking - and there wasn't SXi, in Corsa B was ONLY 1.2 16v.
It has been a long time since I drove a 1.2 SXi, and was an early non-Twinport, but it sad at 70mph on the motorway better. I did 2 lots of 3 hours in one for my PassPlus.
The 12v in the Corsa C is a different engine to the B, so this might have something to do with it.

Sting is similar to the SXi. Spoiler and Sport alloys, but the 3 spoke style (not GSi).

They didnt put shorter ratios on the 1.0 engines to make them feel abit quicker did they? That said, the 1.2 16v i learned to drive in felt like it had tiny gear ratios too

Ratios are tiny in the small engines.
My mum had a corsa b sting 1.0 12v.
Ive got a corsa b sxi 1.2 16v
1.2 is much better all round. Quicker and pulls better on motorway. The 1.0 was a bit lost on the motorway but was fine around town. It just sounded faster cause the engine note was different, as its a 3 pot engine. Where the 1.2 is screaming a bit past 4000, the 1.0 still sounds buzzy. My 1.2 doesnt really use much more petrol than the 1.0. Maybe 2 - 3 mpg worse.

Every Sting I have seen, has had a spoiler may be it was a freebie at some garages or something.

Cannot afford it in the slightest till I start working full time. It isn't the insurance which is the problem, in fact, it's not much different to the 12v, it's just buying it

My mate has a 1.2 Corsa C which kept it with my 1.4 Corsa C up to around 50. Then i'd loose him.
I miss that car so much
