If you want to go to a few bars in an up and comming trendy area try Shoreditch as you will see the whole hustle and bustle of people mingling after work. Cargo is good.

http://www.cargo-london.com/news.php

Also the bonus is you will be near Brick lane/Comercial road where some brilliant Indian Restaurants are. I'd recoment La Hoare Kebab house on Commerical road as its possibly some of the best Indian food I've had. Place looks a bit basic but the food is amazing.

Also another good hot spot is around Covent Gardens I dont go much due to it being abit over done but lots of bars/club/restaurants around that area.

As for decent Clubs I would recomend:

Pacha: http://www.pachalondon.com/home.htm

Cafe de Paris
http://www.cafedeparis.com/2007/?section=club

Trap
http://www.clubzone.com/c/London_UK/Nightclub/Trap.html

Fabric if you love a bit of D&B and Funky house
http://www.fabriclondon.com/

Turnmils
http://www.turnmills.co.uk/

Just a bit of Info there mate but if your a club head make sure you go to Pacha and Turnmils excellent clubs
