My ancient 21" widescreen CRT is finally kaputt so need a new tv for my bedroom. I think the 21" suited the room nicely, wasnt too big and wasnt too small (you know how some tvs look too big and dominate a room). Ive got a limited budget and dont want any finance at £200. Ive found this one at amazon only thing is it doesnt have freeview built in or a DVD player etc. I dont know whether my budget will allow me built in features like these, but i definetly want an LCD. Im also wondering whether shaving 2 or even 4" off the screen size will have a huge difference to me?
Thanks for help

would be worth putting bit more money and getting decent make

im not sure because my GF's dad always buys these supposedly cheap and shit make TV's and they last him years at a time (3-4) but lets face it, most people will buy a new tv over that period of time anyway, so the Beko looks like a good deal, any idea if its coming back on offer, or should i wait till xmas sales???

It's not how long they continue working for, its the quality of the picture that's questionable.

true, but personally i couldnt give a shite about contrast ratios or what not, as long as its colour and doesnt have any lines across the screen im happy. we wont be having sky, maybe not even virgin media, and unless its a digital aerial we will be having an analogue aerial as well. im a student so i need something cheap but what will work for 3 - 4 years so its something i dont have to buy when i move into my own place straight away

looks good Richie. Ive seen that 19" in Argos already, wasn't too keen on it, not that i now know i can get 10" more for the same price, albeit a shitter brand. think i will hold out till after christmas when people are trying to get rid of excess xmas stock sales FTW
