quote:
This is my pride and joy, and was my project but the time has come to get a newer car.
I have now had it about 2 years and was in my garage for the first year whilst i was restoring it, as it was going to be my track toy.
Engine:
2ltr 16v redtop out of an astra gte rebuilt with new forged pistons and rings, mains and big bearings, cosworth rod bolts, uprated oil pump, steel headgasket, arp head stud conversion and a piper x air filter with an ecotec intake pipe. I have also used a cavalier gear shifter and a home made linkage.
Body:
No rust what so ever has all been removed and sprayed in arden blue, gsi bumpers, spoiler and side skirts. Door locks have been smoothed off, quick release bonnet clips, lifted bonnet, the under neath was welded up and waxold along with the archs. New fuel and brake lines were fitted. The engine bay has been all welded up to cope with the bigger, heavier engine.
Wheels:
Speedline alessio 2's with 195/45/16 yokos.
Brakes:
2ltr 16v calipers with grooved discs and greenstuff pads and also braid hoses.
Suspension:
Lowered 60mm on spax suspention kit.
Exhaust:
Magnex 3 1/2 inch round tip with a 2 inch s/s straight through exhaust.
Interior:
Roof lining removed and inserts have been carpeted, floor carpet is black, gsi dash, momo steering wheel, cobra reclining bucket seats, gsi back seats, wheel well removed and battery relocated in boot.
Safety:
Clifford 650 alarm, snap off steering wheel.
I have loads of receipts for the engine and i have had it on a rolling road and made 161bhp with printout and have also run a 14.4 sec 1/4 mile at santa pod which is pretty good for a std redtop.
Posting on behalf of my brother
He's asking £2500 for it which IMO is well worth it considering the time and money gone into this
Any Questions feel free to pm or send an email to avo.2007@hotmail.com
cheers
P.S No p.x's unless its with an audi s3 8L as this is the next car he is getting.
