Hi all,
My R reg Corsa Trip (1.2) has developed a rattly noise from the engine, I've had someone take a look at it for me and he advised it could be coming from the alternator (saying it could be some kind of wheel/cog thing (my words not his  ) if it's not the alternator).
As you can probably tell from my description of the problem I'm not very knowledgeable on engines (I'd be getting someone who is it help me replace the part) so my first port of call for a new alternator was eBay. The problem is I've no idea of what will work for it and I'm not sure on what kind of Corsa it is (I've heared the term Corsa-B or Corsa-C mentioned but I'm not sure).
Could anyone shed any light on this for me?
I've not got a lot of funds at the minute either so I'm trying to avoid taking it to a garage. Any help you can give on this would be greatly appreciated.

I have a full engine and gear box for sale with alternator, starter, ect £40!!!

If it's a B then it may be a 55Amp one but i've fitted a 70Amp one with some advice and had no problems with it. Mine's a '93 1.2 8v.
I got my alternator for £47+ Vat brand new.
