hey guys, just wondering if you could give me some advice on how to make my car sound nice, this is my 1st car, n this website is wkd and all cars are great, so i thought u guys would be the 1s to ask, i was thinking of getting a rage back box getting my car d cat'd and perhaps adding a k@n air filter, can any1 give me advice cheers im looking on spending around £200

forget the air filter you would be wasting like 100quid for a air filter that wont help your car sound any better, drill your airbox think there is a guide for this in tutorial section, ye a backbox would be good but you need to decide how you want your car to sound before choosing one.

a cone filter instead of the airbox.
Straight through remus style middle section with a new backbox.

Could be had for £130 aswell

ive just got ma own thanks, so rage arnt good, wt back box would you reccomend, i dont want to much of a roaring sound, i think thats horrible, just want i nice sound

Get something made for a corsa. I had a magnex on mine, nice lil grunt but not overly loud, thats my 2pence

Magnex are probably one of the best you can get for sound.

its so hard with a back box, coz u dnt no what they sound like before u put them on, so a magnex one what about peco ???

remember tho mines onli a 1.2 litre so it aint the powerfullest of cars, so no1 reccomends a k@n air filter

spend a fiver on a dictionary and then buy a magnex system designed for your particular car.

it will fit the best and have a good sound

dont do it, seriously just drill your airbox and that will bid you well untill you can afford a nice exhaust system

scorpion back boxes make nice tones as theyre more touring car-ry sounds than raw 'modded' sounds if you get me?

i had a scorpion monza box with a remus centre sounded lovely for a 1.2 sxi, lots of pops too.god a sound recording somewhere i'll try post it up for you.

my mrs has a powerflow on her 1.2 16v and it just pops and bangs sound like a wasp in a jam jar under acceleration

ive got a japspeed 4" back box still with centre section and cat. and a halfrauds cone air filter £30 lovely deep bass tone when accelerating and nice and quiet for when the bobbies are looking. 1.2 8v tho, shouldnt be too different to yours.
