I am missing the two little sensor things on my cam pulley, the two big ones are on it but the little ones seemed to have ben cut or knocked off?
will this affect performance of the engine?

Have you got your engine started yet?
Because this is probably why you've got no spark.....
Thats your crank sensor afaik

how easy are the cam pulleys to swap, is it just a case of swapping them over or is there more to it?

Belt off, hold cam with a spanner.
Undo pulley bolt, swap pulleys, torque up and re-time.

Theres marks that you use to get the timing right. Get a mate to help you, makes it a lot easier.
Turn over by hand using the bolt on the bottom pulley to makes sure it's not out. If its out, you'll feel it go really tight. Then if you think it's ok start it up. If it sounds a bit rough, then you'll have it a tooth out.

The engine will start without the lugs on the pully, but it'll probably be restricted at 4500rpm.
As thats usually what happens with a cam sensor fault.
Just swap the pully, theres marks on it to time it. If you've not touched a timing belt before id suggest getting the help of someone that has
