Matt...very no
explain
James over anyone. still the best and most experienced goalkeeper
Woodgate over Terry. Very overated for England, bailed out alot at club level by Carvalho
Rooney as a wider part of a 3 man attack/5 man midfield when if he was really going to play that would need to be a deeper middle man. played there for Man U
Agbonlahor in the team full stop. quick/skillful/young

Most experienced yes. Best...hmmm. He will always make 1 mistake a game.
Woodgate probably wouldnt manage 90mins. As much as Terry is over rated, he is better than both Woodgate and Rio.
He normally plays in the middle of a 3 man for UNited, and thats where he is best. Limiting Rooney to one side is like limiting Gerrard to defend.
Quick and young. Skillful with his speed is yet to be determined at a top class level.

Dont all our keepers?
Woodgate is as good as anyone when fit, Rio can bring the ball out from the back and set up attacks
Rooney and Agbonlohor will effectively have license to drift in as they see fit to allow the full backs to overlap
How is he suppose to prove himself of he isnt given a chance?

TBH it was the wrong game to bring Carson in, I would of played James, but yes, ATM they all do
I dont doubt Woodgate is good, he is. But he isnt better than Terry, no way no how. I'd have Richards in the centre over Woodgate too.
So Rooney and Agbon can drift in, and leave Lumplard and Beckham to get slaughtered...or mean Gerrard once again has to sit once again and handle the overlapping players due to our lack of width.
You dont prove yourself at Intl. level. You prove yourself at club level and then come into the Intl side as a proven player.

Thats my choice if everyone was fit, Would be a different story if it was based on current form tho.

Thats fine, I tend to agree somewhat that he isnt good enough. But he is as good as Bentley and SWP lately.
Agreed in that context, I dont personally think hes good enough for England but hes no worse than Benters and SWP (unless hes on a good day)

Orbbo stop agreeing with me you bum boy
The thing with Pennant is, if he was as good as how he played in the CL final last year then he would be first choice for that position IMO. He was by far our best player, and AC were scared when he ran at them.
The problem is that he doesnt do it all the time

The thing is his poor form this season was still as good as anything Ive seen from Bentley or SWP. He was on fire for us - whilst playing with a fractured leg!! - until he had to get it sorted.
