ermmmmm help. car wont go over 4thousand revs. it limiters at 4 what could be up with it. theres also hardly no petrol in. is that anything to do with it. its a 95 corsa gsi

When my Astra did that it was the AFM.

Might be the ssame here???

I take it the ECU light is on? if it is try reading the codes off

nope no lights have come on. and there all in there cos ive had the dials out before. and some one else told me it doesnt have a afm

Yeah it wont have an afm, normally when the ECU limits the revs it puts the light on as well. Is it like hitting the rev limiter at 4k or is it just struggling? does the ECu light come on with the ignition on but the engine not running?

nar no lights doesnt stuggle to get to 4 gets there normal but wont go over

But i mean does the ECU light ever come on or has the bulb blown? it should be on when you turn on the ignition but dont start the car

i had a simular problem with my corsa . wouldnt rev high and gut less . it was the honeycomb thing in the cat had broken up and as restricting the exsaust flow

yea ecu light come on when you dotn start it but not while your drivin. and my mate also said it could be the cat bit aswell but i just dont no

give me a list what it could b e

1. honeycomb bit in cat

If theres no fault codes id be pointing to the cat as well to be honest

blocked cat, AFM, some kind of restriction on the air intake.
