Probably was but he left the referee with a decision to make by flicking his boot out when there was little to no contact. Although as the commentator said would it have been the same decision for a Giggs or a Rooney?

would have been a penalty if it was anyone else imo

that ref is known for not giving the right decision

yes there was little to no contact, but the intent and ronaldo had to try and clear the challenge, it certainly wasnt a dive that warranted a booking

i cant see why he would have dove if he was clear, and would still have got to the ball and scored?

if he had just carried on his stride he wud have been taken out and it wud have been a clear penalty but as it stood he pushed the ball way to far anyway knowin ful wel what he was goin to do. and flicked his legs up over the keeper which in effect actually meant keep didnt touch him, therefore leavin ref with no choice but to book him

he knew he had done it thats why he was shakin his head an hands when he got the booking

Penalty from where I was sitting, haven't seen it on TV yet!

Ronaldo was not shaking his head in agreement with the yellow card by any means! Fergies reaction on the side line says it all then the 75,000 letting the ref know what we thought!



Good result at end of day, should have had alot more goals, could tell Rooney wasn't quite at full fitness, or as alert as usual!
