i have heard that chris ashley does a new baffle with a complete gasket bonded on and thats meant to pretty much stop it mate

take it off put the baffle plate in and reseal.
all vauxhall engines baring the v's have this problem i think.

im pretty sure the 8v gasket fits and doesnt leak

I just bought a new gasket set and cleaned up the baffle.
Then used some JCB gasket sealing stuff. It's worked a treat since

Done the 8v gasket kit on mine, stopped leaking ! - For about a week

mine fine at the minute has been on for 6 months
using the 8v baffle with no sealant at all put on dry

don't you need to use the 8v type sump bolts aswell.or put washers on your old ones?
