the problem is, the subject is lost in the backgrounds, all decent landscape shots in themselves, but you might aswell remove the subject altogether then

Not really. You can still see the photo is of a car, just has a nice background to go with it. It's just a different style of photo, depends what you want out of it. You wouldn't put that style of photo in a For Sale ad, you'd put a photo that concentrates on the car.

To me, those look different, like the car is part of the shot, not just appeared in front of it, subtle difference IMO.

I like the style of picture, I just don't like the amount of reflections on the car. Granted it'll get some because it's bloody clean, but the sun is in the wrong place at the time of photo IMO.

depends what you want out of the pic .. focusing on the car or included in the whole photo.
