Rubbing is not cool

I'm 60mm all around and I don't rub. I even did a test and put 4 big mother fuckers in the car with me and it still didn't rub. Car looked about 100mm

Might be your profile of tyres?

Fuck knows on the wheels themselves, can't remember even though I read it on the wheel yesterday

195/45/15 tyres. Previously had 195/50/15's on it and it was still fine too. 195/55/15's rub like a mofo though.

Mine are ET40 with 195/50/15 tyres

No wonder I have problems with them

Hi all,

Car went into garage today to change my rear drum shoes but asked them to look at the rubbing 2 " "

And after they've looked at it, they have mentioned that the rear right side is sitting slightly lower than the lower left side!

So could this be a case of badly installed springs or the springs to be at fault ie from factory the right one was shorter and un-noticed or it has become weak for some reason??

Your thoughts?

AS far as i remember, my passanger side rear always sat very close to the arch. I remember just squeezing a flat hand between the gap.

On the drivers side, i could fit 3 fingers high....

This seemed to happen on most lowered corsas. I think its the shape of the shell and that it didn't sit quite right. Seemed to happen on a lot of corsa B's.

165x50% = 82.5mm sidewall

195x45% = 87.75mm sidewall

so to answer your question yes the tyres will have a thinner sidewell maybe resulting in less rubbing but also the tyres are a lot thinner width wise and will result in less grip, 30mm thinner, each tyre, personally I'd buy new wheels or roll the arches before i was thinking about putting a lot thinner tyres on, especially in this weather
