i want
the best height and kit for a corsa
road/track use
not interested in coilvers and asjustability if i can avoid them i will
i want bolt on and forget
car is lightweight.
so i want fixed kit with the best spring combo
was thinking 50r-40f
or similar
teamed with bilstien shocks

i found 45's had no give and the car would slide easier
with 50's there's a bit of give, imo 50's would be the best choice

fit 888's or 048's... they have a slightly higer profile than 45's but have a much stiffer sidewall.
Just fit the same spec suspension (bilstein) that Harry Hockley sells.
If you are keen to use it on track fit very firm springs (300lb or so)

Road AND track is always going to be a compromise, you can't have the springs as stiff as you'd need for the best track setup on a road car.
The Bilsteins with the chunky damper pistons, plus some stiff springs is your best bet, most lowering kit springs won't be anywhere near stiff enough to be any good IMO.

What tyres will you be using, will they be different for road & track?

we do a custom fixed rate and height set up for a corsa using bilsteins and custom springs, has been tested on track and road, we sell them a lot to the rally lads.
come with optional spring height and poundage and we have corner weighted a car with full interior and fully stripped (both a 1.6 and 2.0 engined car)
all for £350.

plus its only an extra £ 50 to have an extra set of front springs for track use. rears are fine with 6.5" 225lb for both road and track
(by changing front springs rate on non adjustable dampers it does cause the car to be a bit bouncy with the stiffer springs, but not a problem for track use)
