there is a lot of personal attack, including saying he's 30 and driving a 106gti at that age is sad...

And if he complains, I'll trim it. All you've done is fuck the thread up even more and call someone a cunt.

Bora isn't a barge. Its only just bigger than the C and I would imagine having driven a few Golfs that it compares favourably to a Corsa.
The biggest problem with that one on PH is that its got huge wheels so any improvement in ride is negated by either scrubbage or the requirement for rock hard shocks, plus you need to insure it modified, plus its 2 grand over budget.
I would imagine you'll get a standard one one the money although similar age/spec Golf/Leon are probably cheaper?
You'll also get a nice Astra G for that money so that's worth a drive. My best advice would be get out over Christmas and test as many cars as you can. Not only will you actually get proper answers to your question but at this time of year if you look like you don't really want it you'll probably do a good deal as well.

This thread is another good example of Steve's former reputation being used against him I'd say keep your own car Personally Neo

i called him a badger
and i suggested the jaris t-sport as it's small and could potentially be fun, although i've never driven one.
but iirc kurt posted a blue one with big multispoke wheels on before, didn't look TOO bad and IMo would suit him more than the bora, although saying that, the bora is a nice car with a few small touches (wheels, lowering).
it's too much of a big catergory tbh, totally different cars.

I'm not trying to be argumentative Ian but this sort of thing happens quite a lot against Steve, and should really be deleted without asking when it is found.

Boras are good calls overall but i wouldnty recomend one to anyone who wants any steering/break feed back as they are sooo bland. For say company cars they are perfect, but my mates selling his 130 tdi sport bora becasue its slower, handles worse and is less comfy than the focus td he had before it.
Saying that he does get very good mpg out of it.
IMO keep ya corsa mate
