just went for my last training sech before xmas.
unfortunatly i had to train on my own (as all my usual partners are hungover)
so, flat bench benchpress 110kg.
asked some random bloke from the gym (he looked quite big) for a spot.
managed to get 5 clean un-assisted reps out - then started to struggle, and this bloke starts shouting at me.
"squeeze it"
"feel the burn"
so i push out 2 more
he then pushes down on the bar (pushing agaist me
shouting "c'maaaan 2more"
then my left arm gives up and i end up with a stack full of weights bearing down on my chest!,.
i cant move my arm properly, and ive gotta wait till the 27th to see a physio,
this bloke got ripped into by the gym owner tho, i think he's been banned.
RESULT!.

ive got my mate (whos training as a sports therapist) to come and give me his opinion a bit later.

Never heard of someone pushing down on the bar when spotting. LMAO What a tosser, what was he thinking? Hope you're not too badly injured. BTW, 110KG for 8 reps is decent. How much do you weigh/height etc?
I had my last workout before christmas today. It's not open till Saturday now.

my mates do that to me the shouting thing but then when they see im un-able to go on the pull the bar up
bit of motovation but this guy is a nutcase pushing the bar down on you

i like to stand on their chest, block their mouth and nose up and also push down on the bar, you have to train hardcore..
