Any other bits and bobs I should be buying to go with it?!

Buy 2x 2gb cards or 4x1gb cards as you don't want all your eggs in one basket so to speak.

You can get the 400D with the far superior 17-85 lens if your budget allows it.

This is a package I'm being offered from a friend of a friend!

SD cards don't cost much so I'l pick up a few 1gb cards also.

As for the lense I think its what comes with the camera, so I'd have to buy any extra ones seperate.

Would the 17mm - 85mm still be worth getting as a second lense or would I benifit from something else.

Can't imagine the 18-55 being worth much to sell, and replace with the 17-85!
