it was too dirty

MOT tester just came in to show me. Underside was soo full of crud you couldn't see the condition of the brake lines

Its not a fail as such just a refusal to continue with the test...







... which i suppose technically is a fail

Was the top side washed? I can imagine people who drive on the motorway all day, drop their car off for an MOT with the numberplate barely visible.

Always go past the jet wash on the way to an MOT to spray the car over (and under)

Mate is an MOT tester and he HATES working on cars covered in shite

I used to hate working on mountain bikes covered in shite. Normally added more onto the labour charge. Did often take longer as well. Dog shite was the worst

because you have to check in the boot???

boot floor for corrosion etc, has to be able to open, suspesion points in boot . . . . . .

Spare wheel if you have one!



How does one go about checking the boot floor when you have an install in place!

Mines been through 3 MOT's with a false floor in the boot!

can see the floor from the underside too .. also the bootlid doesnt have to open .. aslong as there is access to the boot its ok .. ie through the back seats . the bootlid just has to be secure

Thats good then, just thinking I still haven't wired my solednoid up to the boot and if they did get in the boot the install is there!

BUT .. if any door doesnt open it is a reason to refuse to test but that depends on who does it and where you go as everywhere is different

Mine failed today too.

N/S Headlight adjuster dont work
Exhaust clamp loose

Exhaust is loose cos it got changed yesterday to standard and clamp is buggered
