It has because the heater matrix is in the same circuit.

Check that the water is topped up and that you have no air locks etc.

If water is pumping round normally (rad getting hot and engine temp normal) then your heater matrix is probably blocked, maybe because of the radweld blocking it up. You can take the pipes off it and run a hose pipe through in both directions a few times and that will clear it. But its a pain in the arse to get to the pipes and they will be well stuck on.

Does the hot/cold dial feel normal when you turn it or has it gone all loose?

Best bet is to go around squeezing pipes.

At the end of the day if you are getting the blowers working as usual the reason you are getting no heat is because the water in the heater matrix isn't hot (be it a leak/blockage etc)

I assume you are not getting any leaks inside the car, your water level is staying constant (not going down over a period of time) etc?

The rad weld may be responsible for a blockage at a guess?

Another thing worth trying is to remove the thermostat and check it is opening as it should be (pan of boiling water) or try running it without to help narrow anything down but it will take AGES for the water to get upto temperature without it fitted.

You can only get to them under the car, they are at the back of the engine about in the middle. they are side by side and go through the bulkhead. you will probably have to cut them off though if they havent been off before (as long as theres enough left still)

Every car ive had them off with has had to have them cut off

The ones for the heater matrix come out of the centre of the lower part of the 'bulkhead', above and not far from the selector rod IIRC?

With the thermostat open or closed doent make a difference to the heater matrix flow

Yes thats right, what engine is it? one of the pipes will go to the big black one onto the back of the water pump and the other pipe goes to different places depending which engine it is. If its a LET (guessing from your name) then the other pipe goes to the battery side of the cylinder head
