Been offered a new phone by 3 but i just lettin my contract run out as I have a newer contract with o2,but my o2 phone was stolen and the insurance wouldnt pay out,so i was going to get the phone from 3 and hopefully get it unblocked and put my o2 sim in it,but i heard grumbles that the n95 couldnt be unblocked??

you can with a network unlock code, think its about £30 if your still inside your min term

Yes... its to offset the subsidy of giving you the handset cheaply
If you are outisde your contratc commitment then it should be free
