Hey i bought some wheels a while back which are Et38 i believe for my little 1.2 corsa. i now own a 1.6 16v corsa sport and am looking to lower it on the same wheels, Will i have problems lowering it 40mm all round possibly 60/40? Wheel spec offset Et38 and a 7.5 rim (i believe) with 195/50/15 tyres. Has any one been able to do this without arch work?

i had Et38's on my old car lowerd 60 at front 40 at rear with no problems at all. i had 195/45/15 tyres tho. didnt do any arch work at all either

et 38s on my old car down about 70mm just had to trim the arch a little bit. depends what tires you go for really

iv got them ^^^ wheels on mine lowered 50mm all round and if i hit the country lanes round me at anything over 80ish the fronts scrub, but only since fitting better shocks than my original 1s tho

wouldnt fit they are too wide 7.5 inches are too wide, 6.5 inches would be fine

Thanks for the info guys. Scotty were you running standard shocks or uprated? I was only going to drop it by 40mm anyway as i live down a never ending road of speedbumps!

no i had shorted shocks aswell. there are quite a few speed bumps where i live aswell but i never had a problem. the only time i had a problem was when i lowerd my gsi 60/90 must of pulled my exhaust off a dozen times in a week an got stuck in a petrol station

Ok i remeber my garage saying my wheels where a 7" rim and the guy i bought them off said they were et38 and ill be using yokahama paradas. Trying to find paradas in 195/45/15 but would i get away with 195/50/15 when i lower my car by 50/40? ill try and upload a picture of the wheels at the moment.
