Now I've started going the gym fancy some of those scales that do % of water and body fat.

Can anyone reccomend any?

Seen some dead cheap ones on the net? Are they cheap cause they are shit?

dont waste your money, go and get yourself properly water tested or get a qualified person to use fat calipers.

scales that tell you bodyfat % are shit, for example Person A is a 15 stone overweight fat slob, Person B is a 15 stone bodybuilder who has very little bodyfat. The scales will give the same bodyfat% reading and probablly tell the bodybuilder hes overweight!

He now does sport agency work and part owns the Light Bar and Quadrent bars in Wolverhampton and spends much of his time in a holiday home on the Costa Del Sol. He was also England coach for the Danone Nations Cup in 2007.

Agreed. My mate who competes was around 7% and the scales said he was nearly 20%.

Theres some scales at my gym that measure body fat etc once you've inputted everything. Only used them a couple of times though. I don't eat kebabs/burgers etc so just use the regular ones that are next to them!

Was about to say the same there is no way that a pair of scales could give you a reading.
