boot
rear panel (behind the back bumper)
chassis legs (get underneath and have a poke about)
b-pillars (check if they are cracked)
drivers door
bonnet
slam panel

check those areas for rust, check it for smoke, check it hasn't been buggered about with too much

good luck

Sills, they tend to have some rust due to the skirts retaining moisture. And the chassis legs...check them too!

Engine, oil level before you start it up, smoking tapping etc.

usual rust is on the rear boot lid around the wiper arm and where the spoiler connects to the lid on the corners, also under the front lip of the bonnet.

looked at car today could have it for 750, but mileage is 116,000 n has no tax, was looking to keep it for a couple of months n sell on for a profit, but thinking i wouldnt gain much on this.
also another put off is that it needed welding on the chasis for it to pass an mot as my mrs corsa gsi needed the same n was basicly shagged!!!!!

think im gonna save a bit more n buy a hgher regd n lower mileaged corsa but have a gsi kit on it?

wht do u's think buy it or not?

Yer mine was a 2 owner one with the second one only having it in his name to sell it. Tis mint bodywork wise but I still spent alot of £££ on it due to the engine having issues

Newer sport should have none of these issues and a couple of hundard quid will have it looking just like a gsi if you so wish
