not sure if I would trust an Aldi engine hoist guess if it had some sort of certificate to say it was safe it'd ok

Don't think I could trust it, but pretty cool. Be annoying not being able to move it around as freely as a crane

If it failed and it fucked your engine then claim from them. Unless you were using it above the safe weight limit

Is an engine close to 250? I had my hoist set to 500kg to be safe

for motorised hoists always go for something rated at least twice the weight of what you want to lift.

in fairness it isn't sold as an "engine hoist"

I could have done with that the other week for passing all the enw electrical stuff up into my loft through the hatch. Nothing above 75kg, but a right maul with one person on the landing and one in the loft.

I personally wouldnt buy a celing mountable engine hoist from a web page which also sells fruit filled pancakes

I bought one for the workshop I use the other week, same price but mine had postage of £20. Same spec as well so although mine is red I assume it is the same model with a different badge.

It moved all the CS furniture no bother and we've also lifted other stuff with it although it isn't really controlled enough to do an engine swap. Even doubled up you still wouldn't want to line a box up using just that.

Might work well, you could store said pancakes with ease if you came home with both.

I can't stop laughing at this

Also, I bought a proper engine crane for up to 1000kg's for £80 brand new, so may aswell fork out the extra and have something much better
