ok my graphics card radeon x1950 supports dvi at the moment so i have the dvi connector with the vga cable pluggfed into the back of the connector i noticed my monitor supports dvi-d and bought a connector ive plugged that in and put the vga cable in the back of that to but i get nothing picture wise am i doing something wrong?>
for the 2 years ive had the pc ive always just used the dvi with the vga in the back and then the other end of the vga to the monitor

You need a DVI cable to make use of a DVI connection. A VGA cable and two convertors wont work.

ma mates getting one at work tomorrow does it make any diffrence compared to vga

I can't really tell the difference on my monitor when I switch from analouge to DVI.
