imo, just like putting a dump valve "sound" attachment on the exhaust of an N/A car
1.5td are NOT fast, still sound like a tractor, why would you want to make it worse with:
tractor
tractor
tractor
tractor
Ptchssssssssssssssssss
tractor
tractor
tractor

not saying that their fast i just want a car as a run around thats good and fuel and is reasonably powered so im not flooring it and going 40mph an the 1.5td seems perfect for what im aloud to have and need from it while im completing my project

A 306 D turbo will be faster and cheaper to insure.

Im £30 less to insure one that I was on my 1.2 8v corsa.
92bhp standard, 115-120bhp odd when the boost & fueling is cranked up. (Apparently)

It doesnt sound like a dump valve on a petrol car though, as I said it sounds like a bus (the air brakes)

that would be correct with a solinoid piped on it which also needs to be fail safe....
....as in if the switch fails the valve is normally closed so you still have brakes if it ever fails

No point at all on a diesel.
Petrol car has a butterfly valve in the throttle that coses when you change gear so there is a build up of pressure that gets vented through the dump valve.
a diesel does not have this vavle and sucks in air all the time so there is no pressure build up to activate the dump valve.
Intercooler does work quite nicely tho!

with the 1.5 TD corsa you can get it to 100bhp with just a bleed valve and adjusting the fueling.

Never bin that much. I know a lad with one, had fuel and boost turned up. Boost was 18psi and had KnN filter and stainless exhaust with decat and it made 108bhp!
I think a youth on the 306 site has done the same with same power to boot!

can agree that the dump valve is a stupid idea and kind of pointless, personally i would get an air filter bolted much closer to the turbo and see how loud the induction sound....
How many of you guys have actually been out in/ driven a modded 1.5td, they arent slow by any means

Yeah, a 106 derv EGR valve is used.
Looks like a simple enough set up.
