Bit of a weird one here lol

In my room i only have 1 wall socket yes 1

So atm ive got one extension cord coming out of that and another out of that one as ive got like tv,dvd, xbox, comp, monitor, speekers.

And now ive just got hold of a fish tank which requires another 3-4 sockets which would mean putting a few of those extension block things in the extensions ive already got (make sense?)

So is it safe to have all these running off one wall socket?

have a look at the info sticker on the equipment you are plugging in. write down the current draw for each one and add them up.

Without working out the exact figures, that seems like too much load. I wouldn't risk it.

Why i only have 1 wall socket what am i suposed to do lol

All i have is one extension with 4 coming off it and then another with 4 in going into that one so in total i have 7 sockets being used.

As for the load a lot of things do not have this information.

lets say each thing you have plugged in has a 3 amp fuse protecting it. and you have 7 things plugged in. if all the pieces of euipment had a fault at the same time you could potentially draw 21 amps through 1 13 amp socket. thats not good.

Any other ideas i mean other ppl must have 1 wall socket and find ways to cope?

You're not supposed to run a 4-gang off a 4-gang. You've got the current from 4 devices running through 1 socket of a device that in turn is only meant for 4. With a computer, TV, Xbox etc I'm surprised it's not gone up already.

You cant do much damage mate, the circuit will be protected anyway so if you do draw too much current you'll trip the breaker/blow the fuse before any damage is done

wrong.

the ring is gonna be protected by a 32 amp fuse/breaker. the socket is rated at 13 amps.
