ive just bourght a astra gsi engine and was wondering the cheapest way to put it in my car eg things i need nd etc dnt have clue bout engines but i no everyone gna say redtop but dnt wnt tht i wnt this engine nehelp much appreciated madhead

If its a C18XE from Astra G GSi 94/95ish then its a big block which means its a very similar procedure to fitting a redtop, except you'll have less power.
This is why you may have been advised to go straight to redtop. Its not such a cheap conversion that you would be happy with minor gains.

I have bought an Astra GSI engine (engine code here). What is the most cost effective way to put this engine into my Corsa (B or C need to know). Please don't tell me to get a "red top" because i have already bought this engine.

and from a 1.2 to 1.8 surly that big gain in power ?? nd picked this engine up 51 pound so thought cheap power
