Ive got an door with an electric window that I need to make go down halfway. How would one go about doing this? Without breaking it

106, and no the door isnt attached to the car - its hanging from my garage roof. The motor has a two pin plug so im guessing 12vs one way = go down, 12v's the other way = window goes up.

but obviously I cant just attach it to my Ibiza battery, it;ll go bang? (the motor that is)

just get two pieces of wire and attach them to a battery (12v) and the others to the plug which ever way makes it go down.

Shouldn't do, thats how i tested my horn and fan - they only draw the current needed, so should be fine.

try a 9v battery first. will be allot slower but may work.

if you run it off your cig lighter its just the same as running it off your battrey so may aswell just do it off the batery, will be easier.

it will not go bang, it runs off the battery, everything runs off the battery, which is 12v.

ive done it before in work

12v battery and 2 peices of wire, one way round it goes up, the other way roun it goes down ......simple

I know, i've done it now. Did it with a 15 amp fuse inline for peice of mind
